Some progress on our block

Our file got handed to our SS last Tuesday and the following day he called to introduce himself and tell us that he had received the file and booked excavators to cut and fill our block and they should be there by the end of next week. Well I drove past last night hoping to see pegs and to my surprise our block had already been excavated!! After such a long pre-construction period it felt good to finally have some progress on the block and to have it started before we expected.

There is a much bigger step up than we expected so we will need to build retaining walls when landscaping.

The peg I was looking for...

First time builders

After viewing countless building blogs, we decided to jump on board and start a blog of our own. This is the first time we have built a home and thus far we have found the process both exciting and frustrating....

Bingara Gorge

We really liked the look and feel of Bingara Gorge and dreamt of buying land there one day.

This dream became a reality much sooner than expected when we fell in love with a block of land and decided we had to have it. We put a deposit on the land, put our house on the market (which sold in 2 weeks) and started to look at builders.

Rawson Homes
After dragging the poor kids to countless display homes, we decided the Seaview 39 by Rawson homes would be our dream home.

We are currently still in the pre-construction phase. We have just had the Construction Certificate issued and are in the 20 day period before work on site starts (day 6 to be precise- 14 days to go........)
