The frames are here

Well after the long wait the frames arrived on Monday as promised. The site supervisor told us that he had guys booked to start putting them up on Tuesday, so I was very surprised (and very excited) when I drove past that afternoon to find that half of the bottom floor was standing. Pretty good effort seeing as or SS told us the frames were being delivered to our block at lunchtime.

 Cannot wait to drive past this afternoon and see what progress they make today.

We have a slab!!

Was so excited today as I drove past the block to take photos of the completed formwork only to find that the slab had already been poured. That's two days earlier than we were told it would be. Fences had also been put up. Really loving our SS at the moment as everything is being completed before we expect it to be. 

The bad news is that our frames will not be ready until the 27th May which is 18 days away..... Oh well at least the slab will have plenty of time to cure.

Plumbing

I drove past the block Monday afternoon and the plumbing had been done. The rio and styrofoam blocks had been delivered too (although I was worried about this since we don't have fences yet and it could be easily be stolen). 

Hubby drove past last night and said all the formwork was finished. I will drive past this afternoon and take some photos. Things are really moving along fast- it is really exciting!

Piers

Hubby drove past our block on Friday, and to our surprise the piers had already been completed and the form work for the slab was partially completed. 

We talked to our SS and he said that the slab will be poured next Friday (weather permitting). We are really happy with how things are progressing so far.
